"Gooey Duck" Recipes

Here it is: our geoduck recipe collection. Many of these are recipes which we found scattered online, and some are our own creations. In Asian tradition, to cook geoduck is a rare thing. Rather, like many other gourmet seafoods, it is typically eaten raw. As sushi or sashimi, raw geoduck is known as "Mirugai." Geoduck cooking has until fairly recently been confined to chowders as a manilla or razor clam replacement. However, as geoduck prices began topping $40 per pound in foreign markets - up to ten times higher than typical seafood - hobby geoduck diggers began to wonder at the many culinary possibilities of these unique shellfish.
This list is merely a starting point. As chef's everywhere discover geoduck in their search for new, sustainable, and healthy seafood, cooking geoduck will continue to grow in popularity. Perhaps one day it will not be uncommon for people to cook geoduck as much as we do!! Have I mentioned geoducks are our favorite fresh seafood?
